You're an idiot. Yep, vaccines are horrible-they keep smallpox, measles, a whole lot of other horrible contagious diseases that KILL children and adults, and flu can kill children, too. So, you just keep believing what you're told, you moron-I hope you're not a breeder!

That reply merely shows how uninformed you are. No one said not to vaccinate at all but do you know anything about the flu shot? I didn't think so! There is a very very tiny part of the population that actually could benefit from it but sure you go get injected with god knows what kind of crap because you saw on tv it's good for you. Please don't tell me what to do, fortunately i grew up in an educated family, both parents are doctors and both say i'd be absolutely insane if i'd get a flu shot.

I get the flu shot every year because I'm one of those lucky people with asthma, that puts me in a high risk factor. That risk is of dying because a lot of people do die from the flu especially the elderly. Also how would you know that you would rather have the flu over a jab if you've never had the flu?

I'd just like to comment on your contention that flu won't kill people. According to the CDC, 5% to 20% of the American population gets the flu, more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu-related complications and about 36,000 people die from flu-related causes every year. And them there's pandemic flu. The influenza pandemic of 1918 killed more people than the World War One (WW1 deaths = c16 million, flu deaths c50 million) Just because many people can shrug off the flu after a few days in bed doesn't mean that it's not serious. Just the same way that measles can leave children blind or whooping cough be fatal. The best way to avoid this is through herd immunity - protect your community by not passing around an illness that could kill them.

And this is what happens when children comment about adult matters, things about which they know nothing other than their own personal anecdotes.

Actually the MMR has been shown to increase the likely hood of autism just FYI. It's proven , not just ONE "chick's" kid had a problem with it. And often times its not the vaccine itself, it's the preservative inside the vaccine. Where did you get your degree ? I didn't realize you were a doctor with solid facts on the effects of vaccinations on children and infants. I hope you don't procreate. YOUR child's welfare will likely be in danger due to the fact that you seem to think your right. You don't seem to question yourself when it concerns someone else's child, who could blame you if you don't research and question what is in the best interest of a child that is yours. Not everything doctors say is gold.

I don't see the reason parents don't want to vaccinate their children for when it's a vaccine that has been used for a long time and has proven to be safe in a great majority of cases, but I think people should be more critical to the new vaccines out there, especially when adverse effects are reported so often.

Do some research on the Amish community and the fact that they have zero cases of autism in their communities ( the only reported one have been from adopted children who were vaccinated before adoption) they also home birth and don't take a cocktail of drugs to induce labour or take away pain. I think it's much more than vaccinations that are to blame in the surge of autism cases.

There is a reason why you are a nurse and not a doctor. You might be great at giving shots, taking blood and cleaning bandages but you obviously know nothing about vaccines. Fyl
