Because it just makes PERFECT sense to buy a $50-something Plan B instead of a $20-something pack of condoms. You're now assumed to be ugly and irresponsible with your money and your life.

Just so the correct info is here, no one has described the Plan B pill correctly yet. It does NOT act in any type of "abortion" method. It does NOT "increase the thickness" of the uterine lining, either. It doesn't affect or "prevent" any implantation of zygotes (fertilized eggs). It DOES prevent the RELEASE of any eggs into the womb. Therefore there will be nothing there to get fertilized, nor will anything be there to GET implanted onto the uterus. So it acts BEFORE any egg or sperm can even meet. So there's no "abortion" factor to it at all. Nifty, huh? If you are a woman, and you happened to have released an egg before you take this pill and it was in the vicinity of fresh sperm at the time, then the egg MAY get fertilized, and it MAY get implanted onto the Uterine wall, but this pill will do nothing to prevent any of THAT, it's all about the timing. Since you're only releasing an egg once a month or so, the odds are pretty good that you can stop your monthly delivery at nearly any point. Those are the facts.
