Today, I broke my right leg. I've had one shot of morphine, and even that only relieved the pain a little. It's now totally worn off and I have yet to get pain medication of any kind. My leg has been broken for over nine hours now. FML

Good call 104. I'm pretty smart, but I had completely overlooked the fact that OP might have broken her leg by breaking the bone. Thanks for your diagnosis, doctor.

Seriously, all I've got to say is my grandpa had terminal cancer and he very rarely used the morphine prescribed to him. Suck it up.

Me too. I tried to refuse the meds because I didn't feel any pain (maybe in shock just a little). Even after I had surgery to permanently fix, I only took percocet for maybe 2 days...

Yeah, and not everybody has the same pain tolerance. OP may have a low pain tolerance and you, the tough guy, may have a high pain tolerance.
