Obviously he thinks your joking.
I know, right, cause wake up lovin' and cuddling is great.
What were you "hoping for".
who breaks up with someone hoping for a reaction??
Well, if you leave a relationship certain but sorry that it's over, and wishing the good times could've lasted, you might hope that your partner would feel the same way, or at least have some sadness that a formerly good thing is over. Not necessarily hoping they'll beg you to stay or anything insane like that, but just hoping for something indicating the seriousness of the situation. Maybe.
If you ever really loved him, I'm pretty sure you'd be happy he wasn't in complete and utter pain. Maybe that's just me though.
What response were you looking for? Tears and a "please don't leave me"? At least he's not devastated (or he's hiding it well).
Just not his wingman, OP.
You completely deserved it. did you want to end it just to make him upset? If you're complaining about his lack of sadness to losing you, that means you probably thought you were on to "bigger and better" people after him, well I hope you stay single for the rest of your life.

What were you hoping for exactly? To see him break down in tears for your satisfaction? The poor guy was probably devastated and trying to hold it together.
He cruised through a potentially brutal break-up fight like atrue maverick.
