Today, I can't get my heat to turn off. It is currently 87 degrees Fahrenheit in my house, and my heat is running non-stop. It's about 20 degrees outside with over a foot of snow on the ground, so a repairman can't come out to fix it. My electricity bill will be about $1000. FML

Why can't they come fix it? It's called an emergency call, that's what they do. I can't believe a foot of snow is stopping any legitimate HVAC repairman from coming to your house. I would try calling someone else.

Open a window, that'll at least make it more comfortable.

OMFG 1 foot of snow whatever shall we do? YDi for having the heat on in 20 degree weather- its ******* tropical out so why dont you cut off electricity, lay out a lawn chair and lay out in it in a t-shirt and shorts. Enjoy it.

@90 'snow' and 'tropical' don't quite match, dude.

i hope you're thinking 20 degree C is 'tropical'.. however, the op is from maryland where they use degree F... 20 degree F is pretty damn cold!!

@crackberrie, refereing to Firetiger: Or maybe they WERE talking about 20F, and was trying to suggest, satirically, that the OP and other MD'ers should quit whining, because there are definitely places that would consider 20F fairly tropical at this time of year.

Nor will it save any money, since this will just cool the house down without reducing power to the heater.

What you believe doesn't mean anything to me little lemon. The difference between that dueche and me is that I did not make a mistake, he however did. So you are a dueche he is a dueche and I kick ass. Thanks bye.

pull the fuse that the heater is on, YDI! $1,000 saved....you're welcome........
