Today, I'd had it with my mom's addiction to weed, so I told her to choose between me or the weed. I'm currently looking on Craigslist for an apartment. FML

While it is true that you aren't addicted to the actual chemical THC in marijuana, you can become "addicted" to the effects it creates. Here's a really crappy example: you don't become addicted to being held at gunpoint by muggers, but you can get addicted to the adrenaline rush, so to get your fix, you'll walk around seedy parts of town with money hanging out your ass to get that rush again.

If OP was tired of it then it probably affected him/her somehow. Weed isn't addicting, it's just a habit that's a bit hard to get rid of because of the good relaxing hilarious hungry feeling. If mom was to quit she wouldn't die or get sick from it but she would probably be a bit angry... Just sayin'

I'm not a preteen, I'm 17 years old. And my high school literally has one of the highest drug use rate in the students than the other schools around here. I don't like drugs because what they can do to people. YOU may not be effected, but other people do have the same reaction. I know one guy who would get paranoid and hallucinate (not a hallucinogenic, I know; his body didn't respond to it right). And one who whenever he had weed would get hangover symptoms. They both quit after a year.

I am literally one of the few people I know who haven't done it, merely by the fact that we are disgusted with smell and the effects. I dont want to rely on "an herb" to make me happy. There are other ways to get endorphins.

Agree with you. I talk from experience. Some people are so addicted to weed that they make it their top priority in life. Often they pretend they can stop but this is rarely true. There are withdrawals from weed. Proof: most people on weed are very angry people when they don't do it. The anger gets worse and worse... Nothing is good about weed. Only addicts will say otherwise.

You're right nothing is good about weed but so is about other things that we all use on a daily basis! It's our choice as humans to put what ever we want in our bodies. I like weed and it doesn't effect my mind or body, that much! Haha remember almost everything that is awesome is totally bad for you! The issue from this story is not the drugs themselves but between this mom and child!

actually their are many good things about weed. it helps increase appitite it helps with inflammation, helps with pain management. in short their are far more reasons why weed is good. the response that weed is bad because it is addictive is a reason only the ignorant will use.
