Hopefully the valet pays for the damages.
I took my car to the dealer for an oil change once. When I went to pick up the car they were all "hush-hush" about it and finally the manager came out and told me the mechanic backed a truck into my car and tore the front end off. They paid the whole thing and gave me a crappy rental. But that front panel was the nicest thing on the car for years.
Who uses the word SPLURGE?
A lot of people.
It's a weird word.
Sorry to hear, op! Hope it all gets resolved.
Sue them. You watched them do it.
Step 1: get name of horrible valet person Step 2: get car keys back Step 3: demand a refund Step 4: find manager/owner if at all possible (basically anyone who's in charge) Step 4 1/2: take lots of pictures of damage and horrible valet's name tag... Etc. Step 5: demand a free meal for you and the other car's owner Step 6: enjoy meal Step 7: threaten to sue establishment/ horrible valet person/ both Step 8: sue Step 9: bathe in money You deserve it :D B)
You remind me of one of the crazy Walmart shoppers who sues for slipping on a small puddle of water while the employee was walking back with the caution sign. Not every instance of accidents call for a lawsuit.
A few years back, my parents went to a restaurant and used valet parking, which they usually do in crowded parking lots. The valet, being a college kid just trying to make some extra cash, clearly should have been working a job with less responsibility; he left my dad's Infiniti unattended with the keys in the ignition and the door swung wide open. Needless to say, somebody merely got in and drove off. Additionally, he was so worried about getting in trouble, he panicked and didn't even call the police after it happened until my parents came back from their meal. This, my friends, is why I will never use a valet.
This is why I never use valet. A friend of mine (real rich ************. I'm talking like owns his own jet kind of rich) took his dad's Bentley to the valet once at I think the Borgata in Atlantic City. The valet took the car for a joyride and ended up totaling it. On the bright side, now they get free suites every time they go to AC (not that they couldn't afford it to begin with)
I probably wouldve had a stress induced heart attack watching that happen. FYL for sure
