Today, I facebooked my friends about my upcoming birthday party, and told them to keep the date free. I got several responses telling me that's not possible, because that's the day the new Harry Potter movie comes out. FML

Today, it's been weeks since I made a Facebook page to arrange something for my birthday as no one was able to attend last year on short notice. Everyone was game but now everyone is flaking. One friend even said, "I'll see who RSVPs and then decide." FML

Today, the last person I invited to my birthday party called and said they couldn't come because another party "came up" and they "hope I understand". It's on December 31st. This happens every year without fail. FML

Today, I'm having my housewarming party and had prepared food, drink, and games for all the 19 confirmed guests on Facebook. I waited till 11, but nobody showed up. I checked Facebook again and realized I had accidentally put tomorrow as the party date. I have to work the whole day tomorrow. FML

I'm in my twenties and started reading those books when they came out. I have been waiting to see this movie since movie FIVE ended. I'm sorry sweetie, OP doesn't DESERVE it, but I have to agree that I have plans that night too. Oh, wait, I have class. Ah, I have other excuses...Either way, I would tell friends to tag along and we'll do dinner after! So, OP may not be 8....OP just has nerdy friends.

i completely agree!!! its the 6th harry potter movie!! THe end is almost near so obviously people would want to watch it on the day it comes out, if its possible! :D Anywayz, the OP should've planned his/her birthday better.. esp since she knew Harry Potterr is goin to be in theaters that day!

Okay, so in your opinion, you didn't like them. That doesn't mean that they're "gay". The vast majority of people who read them love them, so you shouldn't state your opinion like it's a fact.
