Sex can totally be worked on. It's all about communication.
So what? Just because the first time you guys had sex wasn't mind blowing "soulmate" sex doesn't have to mean anything terrible, haha. The first time my partner (who I would absolutely call my soulmate) and I had sex, it wasn't that great either. But as we got more familiar with each other and he learned what I like (you can't just expect a guy to know how to please you, you have to tell him what you like...), the better it got and now we have FANTASTIC sex.
Train him.
I hate people who think twice about liking a guy just because the sex was bad. What if he was a virgin or if he just doesn't go out to have sex with a bunch of girls to know if he is getting better or something. I think Op should have told him if he was doing something wrong and show him a way to make the sex more pleasurable.
Agree 100%. When I first started having sex with my current boyfriend I was the first woman he'd been with in almost 2 years. Our first time was awful, but I really cared about him so I stayed. Within 3 months we were having the best sex ever. You can't judge someone's ability based on ONE experience, he was probably really nervous.
Practice with him! He'll get better, and if he's your "soul mate" it shouldn't matter that much.
I was imagining that, then you said the tongue thing. Ew...
give it time practise makes perfect!

Sex isn't everything! He'll get better, maybe it's his first time.
Everybody can learn, just be honest and work on it in a nice way. Its about creating good experiences :-) sex can always be improved if you talk! good luck!
