Today, I flew to Mexico with my (now ex) boyfriend of two years. It was my first time flying, and apparently I have a fear. I had a panic attack on the plane. When we landed, I got dumped for "causing a scene." I am now stranded in Mexico alone for two weeks with no hotel room booked. FML

I feel bad for you, I know I would have panicked too (maybe) because I watch too much Discovery Channel lol

How you found a computer to submit this is beyond me...

Are you guys serious? If you've never had a panic attack you obviously don't realize that it is INVOLUNTARY. No one wants to freak out in public and embarrass themselves. It's possible to bring it under control once it starts, but you don't choose what scares you and what doesn't. Come on. You people are idiots. Really. It's not an emotion, either. It's an involuntary bodily reaction.

So you're stuck in Mexico by yourself for 2 weeks? What is so "F" about that???

You are better off without that douchebag.

lol, this is not a panic attack. It is her first time flying, and she has a fear of it. It is a phobia. Panic attacks are different.

you can't understand the fear of flying? think 9/11. do you understand now?

No. Even counting all the people on the planes, *and* in the towers, flying is *still* safer than driving, walking, or biking. Even if it *was* 'scary' -- why act out?

To Ozymandias: You are quite possibly the biggest jerk I have come across in a while. Everyone has their fears/phobias and their moments, we're all only human. You can't expect everyone to be the same high standard you clearly expect. And to say you'd bang her if she was cute, I wouldn't even joke about that. No decent girl would go there with such a self-centered, arrogant asshole like you.

No decent girl would be a drama queen and act out just to get attention on an airplane, either, so I think we are fine on those grounds. I don't expect everyone to held up to a high standard. Children get away with crap all the time. I simply expect adults to act like adults. Think about the boyfriend, or even worse, the strangers on the plane, who had to deal with a child in an adult's body for the flight! They paid good money, too. The OP had no right to make the experience of flying even less comfortable for them. All I ask is that people act like, well, people, and not monkeys.

I feel so bad for you. That really sucks! I have a friend who got panic attacks and all you people bitchin at her should shove off because you know that really isnt a choice. It's uber embarrassing because everyone sees it. It's also hard to calm down. Fear of flight is also a certified phobia. So just quit makin stupid comments
