is someone stopping you from getting one? so what if you buy a barbie..

I don't see anything wrong with that. I'm almost 20 and I collect special edition Barbies. Been doing it since I was 8 years old.

No problem with that, I've seen pics of them online and I like them, they're going to make a lot of girls proud of who they are and everything!

I'm right there with you. I love their new line. And I'm twenty, I actually got two for Christmas and was mighty happy.

Hey no big deal. I'm a collector too. GI Joe, Monster High, etc.

I'm not into Barbies, but the new ones do look interesting. The video game programmer one looks kinda awesome. I just graduated college and I still have more in common with high schoolers. A number of reasons why, but part of it is I still like things that other people think they're too old for, even if they still like them.

I'm 25 and I want one too!!!! No need to feel bad we grew up with the stick figure and it's about time they had these.

I'm in my thirties and I've already told my husband I'm ordering one when they come out. Ostensibly it's so if the nieces get one I've got clothing patterns worked out for the new body type, but I really want a Barbie that I can more or less design to look like me for geeky gamer reasons. ("And this," pulling out doll, "is what my character is wearing. She's cheaper to shop for."

I'm 20 and I still ask for barbies for Christmas lol mainly to collect but sometimes I play like I was 7 again

I want to buy one, too! I've said for years that Mattel needs to make a heavyset Barbie. Come on, she's had friends of all ethnicities and even one in a wheelchair, plus one that taught sign language and Spanish, but they all had the perfect skinny bodies. It's about time Mattel got realistic! Of course, I bet they're doing this to compete with the Lammily doll, which is designed to be a more "realistic" doll. Anyway, for the same reason as someone else mentioned, I want one to make it look like me because that would be awesome! I still have all my Barbie accessories and play sets in my basement; time to go nuts with a camera!
