Oh my god I have that exact same shirt! "MTV Unplugged in New York" kicks ******* ass! Also, not all mailboxes are completely closed. Some have a slot you can drop stuff in but small enough so someone's hand can't reach in and get stuff. They probably have one of those mailboxes.

The key was on the key chain. So the neighbor must have used the key to open it, then it locked automatically when shut. And bam... Now the key is locked inside the box.

It obvious.....his mailbox key was on the keychain that they put into his/her locked mailbox......so hense he/she can't unlock it to retrieve the keys.......duh!
