Do you realize how hard it is to clean a tuba? It's a tuba, not a flute. These things are big and have several valves. Also, there are pieces that can't get wet. That would be no easy feat.

Wow. I was in band in high school and a jock strap isn't the worst thing I've seen found in a tuba. People can be disgusting.
