I know this hurts like hell and is humiliating as hell, but it really is the right thing that could have happened. I'm old and have had the real thing since 1978 when my husband and I first met (I was giving him music lessons). And the real thing is when you both really, really want to be together and are glum at the idea of things being otherwise, never when only one person feels that way. Of course I'm sorry for how you must be feeling right now, but it is for the best. Really. Truly.
@mike0392 what the hell are you talking about. I can't understand a word your typing(mostly because they are no actually words). you need to learn how to write words properly so that someone will understand. I really hate it when people go over the top like that until It doesnt make any sense.
"mostly because they are no actual words"? Before you go correcting someone make sure your shit is on point so you too don't look like an idiot. Op you have two options: 1. Build a bridge and get over it 2. Keep crying about it and down yourself with tears "The choice is yours and yours alone!"- Legends of the Hidden Temple
it wad an excuse so he didn't want to make u feel bad
I don't know how to tell u this but your bf was cheating on you and he needs to grow a pair of balls!
really is it that difficult to spell you over yew. I mean, they have the same number of letters, it's not making it shorter to type. it's just rediculous.
get over it? maybe your ex didn't want spend his life with someone completely attatched. it's been five months, he moved on. quit your crying, stop being pathetic and carry on with your life. chapters closed, find the RIGHT guy for you.
feeling aren't switches, but hanging on your ex's every action and concerning yourself with their life more than yours are things you can choose to not do. yeah, it's possible to have feelings for someone and obsess over them. grow up.
I woulda slapped him and been like "bitch! go make me a sandwich!"

Your ex was using a really cliched excuse, I'm afraid.
He's engaged after five months? Really? Seems a bit quick to me.
