ehh sounds like someone is having trouble getting over her ex...
WHY. SO. SERIOUS?
This happened to me, it wasn't such a big deal since they didn't get married but it still sucks. Hope you can move on and enjoy life to the fullest.
I was in the guys role where I was with a girl for almost a year and eventually things didn't play out so I decided to break up. Then litterally the next day I met a girl who I immediately fell for and then 5 months later decided to propose to. So it does happen.
u should watch he's not that onto you ur the rule not the exception
It's entirely possible that when OP heard "our relationship is too serious" she took it as 'I don't want to get serious with anyone' where her boyfriend meant 'I don't want to get serious with YOU'.
that sucks and I doubt he's truly in love with that girl! he probably did that to every girl! I hope he dies all alone in a hospice lol jk alll I can say is to move on and never talk to that jerk again! it'll make it easier for you to forget ur feelings for him. it may be better to move away from him, though I know that sounds extreme sometimes it just to hard to move on for certain people! I understand the pain ur going through!
something is wrong with him, being engaged is wayyy more serious than dating

Your ex was using a really cliched excuse, I'm afraid.
He's engaged after five months? Really? Seems a bit quick to me.
