So...clarify what you mean by "Vet" to your hateful relatives...or don't, in the end they're not leading your life. Besides, I just hate that, if you're anti-war then hate the politicians, don't hate those who serve....

Although it was just a missunderstanding, even if they are anti-war they should never be ashamed to have a family member who puts or has put their life on the line to protect their country.

I've had family serve in the Army and the Navy, and hear about such idiocy just because they are "anti-war" disgusts me. Those soldiers don't sign up out of blind patriotism. They sign up because that's the right thing to do. Those men and women fight for our freedom, and people like your relatives still disrespect them. Anti war is one thing, being hateful of soldiers is another. I only hope there is a lovely spot in hell for them.

it is the biggest lie ever told that fighting other countries protects freedoms back home. its a shame people cant afford the police, the people actually protecting people in their country, the same devotion they give the army.

Why exactly is it necessary to go to another country and fight for your freedom there? Shouldn´t you do that either in your own country when your freedom is threatened or maximum at its borders if someone wants to invade it?

Sometime war just can't be avoided, in all other situations there is our government to step and and insure it isn't avoided. screw them. serving in the army is a great thing to do and i'd be pissed if they hated you just because you helped with a war effort. not all situations should be solved with war but not all can be solved with peace either.

First, James Harriot was an amazing man and author and second, I'm sorry your family is full of people who just to conclusions. Without having they facts they automatically assumed the worse. She on them but good on your for doing such an amazing profession. :)
