MickeyD managers make a lot of money because of the fatasses these days.
lmao. seriously?
Being a valedictorian doesn't mean anything if you don't proceed on from there. If you had the chance to but didn't, YDI. If you didn't have the chance due to a lack of funds or something, well, FYL. But pointing point that she was tutored by you in English doesn't say much. I also tutor a lot of my friends in English. They just tutor me back in other subjects.
Seriously, if you're feeling that unsuccessful, use your transferable skills to move to a higher management position, and quit snubbing an intelligent woman because you thought you were better than her in high school. Be proud of helping her achieve her PhD instead!
Everyone assumes the OP was too lazy to either go to college at all or find the scholarships etc. to pay for it. Life deals a wide variety of shit cards, not just financial-- illness, for example. My husband and I didn't go to a traditional college. We're both extremely bright and finished an intense training program for a highly specialized career path. We can't follow that path, though, because I had an accident and am now disabled. So my husband's working at a mindless landscaping job to make ends meet and provide health insurance. We're going to college now, but it would have been a very unwise choice right after high school. I just love how so many people blast the OP for jumping to conclusions and making judgments, without knowing the full story themselves. Collective Pot, meet Kettle.
lmao karma is a bitch
YDI for not going to college and assuming people who have problems with English are dumb.
get off the internet and make something of yourself! i better do the same. would really hate working a mcdonalds....
whoa whoa whoa. Who's to say the OP didn't go to college? In case you guys haven't noticed, America's job market kind of sucks. A lot of college graduates have ended up in food service. It doesn't mean they haven't tried to go somewhere! OP: You're an asshole for assuming that someone you tutored in a basic couldn't get a PhD. You should be proud, not bitter.
YDI. If you're so bloody great, why aren't you doing the PhD? If it's financial problems, find alternative routes like the rest of us. Not exactly hard.

LOL #1. You do know that Biophysics doesn't have that much of a correlation to English, right? You should get up and DO something about your situation instead at looking at what others are doing.
at least you're manager and not an employee :D
