this sounds like a parent who lets their kid walk all over them. After all, who the hell gets online and tells the world about it? I would do what everyone on here said and get rid of his stuff.....pawn it or sell it. You obviously spent your hard earned money on these gifts and got screwed for it. So go get your money back and tell your kid that after he finishes paying you back, he can learn how to ride a bike, build a fort, read a book, etc. Stop having your child be babysat electronically. So spoiled!
Selling the items doesn't work - Mommy/daddy still gets screwed because now they're accepting a much lower price for an item they bought in the first place. Just take the damn thing away and hide it until the bill is worked off [Or better yet, get the charges reversed by apple, which shouldn't be hard as apple does have parental concerns and STILL make him pay off the $600 before giving it back]. Don't just hide it though, kids are good at finding shit. . Hide it AND put a new password on it for the time being.
and the fact he was able to make more than a few charges without you catching it should say something about u. obviously the kid doesn't deserve the iPod. take it away along with their computer and tv. or beat their ass. know that's hard to read cause parents don't believe in punishments anymore
This is the comment I was looking for-- why the hell are you just now noticing this, if it's an ongoing thing?! Bad money management runs in the family, apparently. Time to set up a yard sale and get rid of his shit.
I'll give op the benefit of the doubt and assume that this was the first months credit card bill with significant spending on it. If it wasn't then I believe we may need to institute breeding licenses. The idiot children of the last decade are now getting old enough to work and bear children, I have attempted to employ a number of them, with only very temporary success. If these idiots try to raise children with the mindset they have when they apply for employment I suspect that society just might crumble in under a generation.
make him pay for it by taking his I-pod and making him do work around the house.....
Break the iPod and one of his fingers. It will make it harder for him to steal.
iPods have parental control passwords, learn to use them and he won't be able to buy anything even if it's free!
Wait, why are YOU charged for that?
He's a kid. He probably doesn't have a credit card.

Well take his ipod and don't give him any money till the 600$ are paid off. Can parents not raise their children anymore, that's just sad.
your lucky he hasn't found the $999.99 apps yet
