I wouldn't want my children around them until they are more mature than your parents. So about 10 years old.

see I wouldn't care if it was my parents I'd be going to the police for the simple reasons that is theft. they took YOUR money without YOUR permission. my dad had access to my account once upon a time and if he ever did anything like that I would be demanding my money back. It was not their money to spend, not without permission anyway.

I'd "take it back from them" or take it out on their cars with a 9-iron. That's ****** up, and no one should have to deal with that.

Or they can call the police, depending on their relationship with their parents. Depending on the state law, it's a felony sense it's over $1000. But I would only do that if they have a poor relationship with their family. I would be pretty mad.

Sue their asses.

Print out your bank statement that shows the money they took out, and sue them for it. That's a lot of money. Parents or not, they can't steal your money.

Sounds like OP is a minor. I had to have my bank account connected with my moms for a few years but when I turned 18 I changed banks. I know in my state you can't have a checking account but you can have a savings if you are under 18. Maybe if you can't do that find a safe place to hide the money.

You could report them for theft as they took the money without your permission...
