Never stay where you're not wanted. Unless your higher up the chain suing is stupid and you probably don't have the money to lose. That's if you can even find a lawyer to take it on. It was probably something as small as a personality conflict or differences in work style. They usually add the phrase "Its not a good fit". It's their way of trying not to hurt your feelings. It makes me wonder how long you've worked there usually that's done during a probationary period. It's their chance of trying you out and if you "fit" their business.in a probationary. Often they can let you go for more vague reasons. It sucks and it's certainly not fair but if you try to stick it out or force them to keep you They will only make you miserable. Consider it a fresh start for a better job that will want you and you can be happier and advance. Good luck
If thats the case, they must pay you redunancy and give you a referance. also, it would be classed as let go, not fired. its illegal to fire someone with no reason.
Sounds like your job broke up with you. Always hate those words " it was not working out"
That happened to me back in '09. I couldn't do anything about it. It was a law school and they were all freaking lawyers. Not my favorite profession to begin with and that did nothing to improve my opinion. Eventually it all worked out and I've got the best job in the world. Hang in there.
Ahaha why so many downvotes?
The same thing happened to me once after 2 days. Wtf
Do you work in the USA? Have you been at your job longer than 90 days? They may have illegally fired you.
I was there for almost a year.
Sue the **** out of them
Got fired because I had to give notice at my last job. Finished at Job A, and the next day was my first day at Job B. Showed up only to find out I wasn't on the payroll because of the notice period Job A required. What I want to know is, why did they hire me in the first place?

It's not you, OP, it's them. I hope you and the company can remain friends at least. However, they didn't deserve you and were probably employing other people behind your back.
You're better off without them, OP
