She then made him chose between being friends with me and having her as a girlfriend. I just lost two of my few friends. FML

Sorry OP, it's not called friendzone. We have a word for when someone rejects you - it's REJECTION (shocking, I know). And if you can't deal with rejection like a mature person then you shouldn't ask people out.
