OP: That sucks it would be embarrassing for you entire family to know when you got your first period To the person who said that underaged people shouldn't be on this site, are you serious? Because you have got to realize that at least a third of the people that come here are underaged. Actually,i thought it through (i have alot of extra time:) and guys and girls r almost equal when it comes to that kind of stuff. 'Cause if a girl has her period it's just for a week but u have no clue when it happens. (it could be later or earlier than a month) And for a guy u could have a boner at any random time and it's very noticeable

Though it seems to have had the opposite effect, he was probably trying to make you feel less awkward about it, and show you that your family was there for you if you ever needed to talk!
