In retrospect, don't you wish he had said "Oops, wrong place!" and left on the day you met? I know they say, "It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all," but loving and losing blows.

If he had known her before he met you, and she was a very close friend, I think he made the right choice. I personally don't think it's right to break old relations for new ones. This being said, he may not have known her before he met you. If that's the case, I'm sorry OP. You deserve better than him. Then again, we need to consider what the fight's main issue was about. If you were being too controlling, I guess we can't really blame him.
