try being in the army. Five years and I'm not sure who my boss is, or where I'll be working next week. at least it's narrowed down to the geographical area lol

I feel you, OP! I was a chiropractors assistant my first year of college and the only thing they trained me to do was to log in data into the computer. When things arose like actually assisting the chiropractor, dealing with attorneys, and talking chiropractor jargon I was completely clueless. I was ready and willing to learn but nobody trained me how to do so.

So what's your problem? Most managers don't know what they're doing either let alone how to train their staff. Tell them you need some training along with how you want to do your best for the company. Good luck.
