But the point is, they are both still Jake. Just two sides of the same coin. If it was someone with DID, then there wouldbe Jake, Ben, Vlad, Mary, etc. Depends on how many personalities there are. The OP's bf (hopefully ex) is an idiot. Period.

I believe what was meant by needing a gf for each of his personalities was two different people who had qualities to suit his personality for when he is feeling depressive or manic, not that he had multiple personality disorder. Which being Bipolar myself I can completely understand how he could need two different gfs to match his highs and lows, although I can't blame a girl for not wanting to date a guy who is dating another girl at the same time lol.
