There are so many dogs who die of heat stroke in the summer. I understand her concern, but the fact that the AC made her actions seem unreasonable. Just understand that she thought the dog was endanger and that she was saving its life. I actually don't understand why so many people feel the need to bring their dog while shopping and leave them in the car for 1 hour or more when its 30 C out! (I know some dogs have anxiety etc, but when its this hot out, no one, dog or child, should be left in the car).
It is legal for someone to call the cops if they see a dog in a hot car, but she really should have checked to see if it was hot before she smashed it. That was kinda stupid on her part.
you shouldn't have left your dog alone in the car even with the air conditioner on!
Because covering the dog in broken glass is a much better idea
You morons... do you have any idea how hot it is and becomes for a dog in a car? No? Even with AC on, within 10 minutes it's 10 degrees warmer than it is outside, within 30 it's over 20 degrees warmer than outside, enough for a dog to easily die from the heat. The woman did a good job in trying to get the dog outside, these kind of conditions are fatal for dogs if they're not helped as soon as possible. Too many idiots take their dogs with them in these kind of conditions and don't give them a good situation to remain in while the weather is hot.
I don't hate dogs, but I will not break someone's window to 'save' a dog unless it's extremely obvious that it's in trouble. I'm sorry people, but if you're so afraid a dog left in a car with A/C on for 10 minutes will die, you need to go volunteer at a shelter instead of breaking others stuff
The woman who left the dog in the car, regardless of the aircon etc., should have her dog taken away. Don't leave animals (or children) in the car alone for any amount of time, end of story. The woman who broke the window could have used another method to draw attention to the car though to help the dog.
