Today, I'm grieving over the death of my best friend of 9 years. My mom wasted no time arriving at the conclusion that I must be hormonal and pregnant with his child. Apparently it's not normal for a woman to cry so much over a man, unless they've been fucking. FML

Today, I am two months pregnant. Being super hormonal, I was crying about how much I was crying. My husband put his arms around me to comfort me, and I sobbed so hard that I threw up all over him. FML

Today, I woke up to my girlfriend sobbing so I went over to comfort her. She didn't want to talk about it, but was inconsolable. I called her best friend to help out, as maybe it's easier for her to talk to a woman instead. I found out from her friend that my partner's ex got his new girlfriend pregnant. That's why. FML

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my best male friend 3 years ago and I bawled for days. He was going to be a bridesman in my wedding. Go spend some time with friends and remember the good times you shared.

Wow, what a bitch. Guess she doesn't know/care that people grieve in different ways. 9 years is a long time to really know someone, and to have them one day vanish? I wouldn't be surprised if it left a large hole, OP. I say you should cut your mother out of your life, especially if she doesn't believe she did anything wrong. You don't need that toxicity right now.
