Today, I'm grieving over the death of my best friend of 9 years. My mom wasted no time arriving at the conclusion that I must be hormonal and pregnant with his child. Apparently it's not normal for a woman to cry so much over a man, unless they've been fucking. FML

Today, I am two months pregnant. Being super hormonal, I was crying about how much I was crying. My husband put his arms around me to comfort me, and I sobbed so hard that I threw up all over him. FML

Today, I woke up to my girlfriend sobbing so I went over to comfort her. She didn't want to talk about it, but was inconsolable. I called her best friend to help out, as maybe it's easier for her to talk to a woman instead. I found out from her friend that my partner's ex got his new girlfriend pregnant. That's why. FML

sorry for your loss. maybe your mom doesn't believe men and women can be platonic. she may think she's just looking out for you. She'll see you're not pregnant soon enough.

I'm sorry for your loss, I lost my best friend 3 years ago and I still cry sometimes, the grief and pain lessen over time, the memories don't and that's a good thing

My condolences OP, I'm also sorry your mother is making the grieving process harder. Take all the time you need, your feelings are valid no matter what she says.
