What service academy. Because I plan to attend the naval academy. but trust me it's not worth running your future just let them waste their health and money and not have a good future to look forward to.

They're neglecting their education, their careers, and they spend every morning hung over. Call THEM next time and tell them how brightly your future is shining.

Academy grad here - Upon graduation you'll have a guaranteed job and can retire in 20 years. Or if you get out early you'll get a job at any firm in almost no time. They'll be in line at McDonalds with 200 others to fill one of five job openings. First year sucks, others suck less, but trust me, it's worth it.

Trust me, it'll pay off soon enough. Can't tell you how many of my friends are still back home doing the same old shit years after I left for bootcamp.

Don't stress it, if you do pursue a career in the military, you'll have way better friends and way better drunken night...that comes from experience
