Today, I met with my realtor to close on a house for my boyfriend and me. While waiting for my boyfriend, I got a text message from him saying he was breaking up with me. I had already signed the papers on our house. Now I'm responsible for a mortgage that I can only afford with his help. FML

Today, I was supposed to close on a house. Unfortunately, our lender decided that they couldn't finance us and denied us a loan, after 3 months of us digging up paperwork, saving money, and packing. Now we have to scramble to find a new place, while our insane landlady screams at us. FML

Today, I opened some junk mail addressed to my fiancé and saw a credit letter about applying for a new mortgage. When I called to tell him his identity was stolen, he admitted he bought a house, and then broke up with me. I had no clue he was unhappy. FML.

That Sucks, You should either find tons of roomates and split the mortgage which goes in your favor or rent your place out and make some type of profit. But yeah if it just a boy friend/Girlfriend never do a thing such as that. I'm a guy and hate to say it but f your were married you would had got the house and a monthly income from him which I think sucks depending on the circumstances. FYL for now.

Been there, sweetie (although we broke up after he was already moved in). Luckily, the house was totally in my name, and I was able to get renters to help with the mortgage. You'll be surprised what you can do tightening the belt, and getting renters. Also, I think you have a right within 3 days to cancel your mortgage contract, which would be a good option if you don't think it could work any other way.
