Today, I proposed to my girlfriend. She said yes, but the ring turned out to be quite tight on her finger. She then chewed me out, saying that I can't do anything right, then changed her answer to no. FML

Today, my proposal was slightly ruined when the ring I got her, which I could have sworn was the same size as other rings she owns, was a whole 3 sizes too big. For everyone bitching at me I'd like to point out I don't want the news. Most of the reason I'm losing faith is first hand observations. I see a ton of people who all they care about is themselves and it drives me insane. I see so many people taking advantage of others kindness. Watch how a person treats their "inferiors" not their equals. You learn a lot. You see what people truly are and no who they pretend to me to get ahead in life

Anyone who spews out an absolute like "you can't do anything right" has NO IDEA how to communicate properly in a relationship. If you can't get her to go to counseling for her behavior, PLEASE DUMP HER. I don't say that lightly, an approach to a problem like that is a BIG RED FLAG. Please move on if you want peace and happiness in your life.

The ring only fits the first time in the movies.. Unless you had gotten her fit for it first... Take it as a blessing and find someone who appreciates you. She clearly has the fairy tale written in her head instead of eagerly letting life happen
