When I got together with my husband about the only thing we had in common was we worked in the same industry. Almost 20 years later, we have learned to try out each other's interests. Some we now share, some we continue to enjoy without each other. What works for us with being so different is that we tend to balance each other out. If you really like him, talk to him about it and see about sharing interests. Keep an open mind too. My husband once made me try paintball. Thought I'd hate it. We ended up playing together in tournaments for many years.
