Today, I realized that I lie to my friends online and go "offline" for hours at a time so it appears that I have a life outside of the internet. FML

this is weird O.o; i'm a Kimberley in Canada your're a Kimberly in France except i don't lie to my online friends i can honestly tell them i haven't had offline friends in 8 years. and i'm only 22. (before anyone calls me a bigger loser than OP, my best friend was taken by fostercare when i was 13, right in front of me the cops took her away while we were walking to my house, the trama from that made me become a loner in highschool, never made friends for fear of losing them. if i posted a fml i figured it'd be too depressing)

Hey, I'll give you sympathy. It's not uncommon to learn to build relationships in a safer environment of Internet. and then you can move from there--when you're ready and want a fuller experience. 22 is pretty young. Cheers for Canada. :)

:/ not really looking for sympathy 'suckstobey0u' just being honest, ppl have reasons for not having offline friends, nothing to be ashamed of i don't care either way if i ever have offline friends i have a few good friends online and thats all i need. ^_^ aw thank you 'spellfire' the internet is much safer to make friends, as long as one is careful, the internet is not lacking creepers.

My best friend moved to California in 7th grade. The best friend I had in high school ****** me over not long ago. As of late, I have acquaintances that I hang out with. I don't get too close anymore. Do I spend too much time online? Probably. For the longest time I was without internet. I feel ya, Kimberly. It's kinda lonely though.
