Today, I realized that my girlfriend had never said anything about the proposal ring I had put into a box of her Froot Loops. When I hinted it to her, she said that the cereal had expired, so she threw out the box. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend to a very nice restaurant. I thought it would be a good place to pop the question. I gave the ring to the waiter and asked him to put it on her dessert plate. When she saw it she picked it up, put it down and said "no". Then she started to eat the dessert. FML

Today, I was going to propose to my girlfriend of 4 years. I took the whole day to cook a nice meal, and stuck the ring in a cookie that I was going to give to her. In the middle of the dinner I was holding the cookie under the table, about to give it to her. My dog ate it. FML

YDI badly. That isn't even romantic, kind of cute yeah, but stupid. She probably wouldn't even look on the bowl while eating and eat it too. I think the best way is to give it to her personally, and if you're afraid that she won't say yes, why propose to her?

YDI. If you read any other FMLs you'll realize hiding an engagement ring is just begging for a posting. How could that possibly go right? She chews up her engagement ring but doesn't choke seems the best possible scenario I can think of. I think having it thrown out is second best.
