Today, I received a 4 page letter in the post from a woman telling me she was Alan's wife. She spoke about their wedding in 2004, their two beautiful kids who love their daddy very much (she included pictures), and how much she loves him. Alan is my husband of 7 years. FML

Hey, you had him first. Seriously though, this is so sad :

Seven years and you didn't notice ANYTHING strange?

Write her a letter back explaining your marriage seven years ago, etc. and ask if she'd like to join you in getting revenge :P

It's probably his parents or your parents trying to break you up (:

So which house did he sleep at? = oblivious

I like how the OP drops the name of her husband as if we all knew him. Even if she changed the name, which I doubt, it's still awkward. "Oh that Alan. He's always doing such crazy shit. That's such an 'Alan' thing to do."

#99 you are retarded, she says he's her husband at the end of the post quite clearly. The reason it wasn't there right away was for effect like 99% of the posts on this site, dumbass.

how did he get married if he was married to you first???? this doesnt make since to me. idk. maybe i dont get it. but he was married to you, he had a whole WEDDING during your marriage, a honeymoon, and two kids, and you never realized something was a little bit off. and i mean if they love him so much, he must see them often. so she must live close by, or you are just THAT oblivious. i dont guess i understand.

You win. You're the real wife. His children are illegitimate bastards and his wife is really his mistress. I would check if this woman has the right person anyway. Hire a P.I. (quietly) and find out if this is all true (1) that the woman is married to YOUR husband (someone else could have given her your husband's name, etc. (2) find the children's birth certificate to see if his name is on it (she could be lying, psycho or trying to cause trouble for your husband because he refused her advances). (3) Make sure this person even exists and is not some sort of practical joke by one of your friends or relatives. People are bizarre. (4) Check his/your credit reports (you can check from all three agencies) see if there are any cards/addresses you don't recognize and call up to order statement/copies as his "wife". If he does have another family there should be a paper trail.

Excellent thinking!! You can't trust strangers off the back!! Verifying what this other woman is saying is true is the SMART thing to do first. However, if she has pictures of them together and with her children then it would be hard not to believe the other woman is telling the truth. However, Photo Shopping pictures is rather common now days.
