Today, I received a "diamond ring" in Mafia Wars (a facebook app) from my boyfriend of 3 years. Along with the ring came a message. It read, "Will you marry me?" He was serious. FML

Isn't that a good thing? I mean, yeah it's not an expensive restaurant and real ring ... but I think it's sweet and almost romantic. :)

O'rly? You're right, actually. I'm a bitter, twisted, misanthropic husk of a human being. But to get one thing straight, I am male. Not sure how many girls would be fine with being called "Ed". Also, my girlfriend would have probably had the same thing to say about the OP, because to us things like love, caring about your partner, truthfulness (Not accusing the OP of not loving her partner/untruthfulness) are more important than material wealth. It seems to me that about half of the recent FMLs were moderated by a bunch of shallow, "my daddy doesn't love me because he won't buy me a new phone" fourteen year olds.

Any time you have to ask "Were you really serious?" when proposed to is an FYL. And this FML sure made it sound like she had to ask.
