The benefits of working for the elite: Get away with traffic violations, get away with murder, and get away with battery, assault, and rape. This is why we say, "**** the police!".
1) The police actually protects civilians, both grateful people and ungrateful morons (like you), and enforces the LAW. Don't insult the ENTIRE police force because of a few "bad apples", SHOW SOME ******* RESPECT. 2) Rape? Really? And murder? Some cops got convicted and found guilty on cases like this. Shut up.
What kind of dumbass cop lets himself get shot at? Self defence is legal and I know if there are bullets flying at me, I will send some back. Cops can shoot people out of feeling threatened, today a kid was shot for pulling a pellet gun. Who knew it wasnt a real gun. gtfo you ass
LETS himself get shot at? You do realize that suspects can ambush the police, right? I usually refrain from commenting when people are anti-cop because I know they'll never change their opinion, but your comment irritated me because my father was a cop and was shot in the line of duty when a suspect pulled a gun and fired immediately with no warning. Despite being shot, my father chased the suspect on foot and kept a location on him until backup arrived. And no, before anyone suggests it, he was not a power hungry cop. He despised people in the department that abused their power and wrote them up without a second thought. He was truly on the force to serve and protect. I get that not all cops are good, but he was definitely the one people would want when they call the police.
U should have done a citizens arrest!
A citizens arrest over a blown headlight? Really? Thats got to be the dumbest thing ive ever heard!!!! I suggest you read up on when that can be applied before you start tackling people to the ground and detaining them.
Read your local laws before making a stupid comment.
This is another reason why I hate police. They break the law constantly. They hold themselves to immoral standards and just expect people to be ok with it. He should be suspended for not inspecting he squad car correctly before shift change.
How do you know the light wasnt working before it left the station? At the end of the day. He had a job to do and he did it to the best of his ability. Why should he be suspended for doing his job?
If he sustained damage during the shift he has to return to base and have it noted and repaired. So if your theory is true he wasn't doing his job.
Some police work graveyard shift. Where are they going to take a car to get the light fixed at that time of night? Is it a better use of tax payer's money to just not drive a car that night? Once again it's a little different to have a light out (on a car that the cop doesn't even own) and to drive around without your headlights on. Besides it being a good indicator someone might be drunk, it's so unsafe for other drivers on the road, leading to accidents. Whereas you can still see a car with only one headlight. I also disagree with your idea of a cop getting suspended for that. It'd be like if your headset at Mcdonalds breaking and you getting sent home for that. But I doubt your open minded enough to see the truth...so have fun in your world.
2 wrongs don't make a right.
I see alot of people have said that they should have called him out on it, however the cop would pro ally only get frustrated with her, making it more difficult for her to get away with later in court. Plus if this happened in Canada (The Great White North) regardless of time the OP would still need their RDL's on. I believe it's the same in the states.
Hypocritical bastards.
Having a headlight out has no bearing on him giving you a ticket, stop crying you still broke the law you self-rigeous hypocrite. His is a problem that will be later fixed by the department, he can't just drop it off at a 1-stop. Yours is a problem that could have been fixed by not being stupid. Stop blaming cops for all your problems because you're butthurt they caught you in obvious violation of the law and suck it up. Pathetic self-importance.

And cops also go 80 down the road at night without their sirens on. Cops do dangerous and illegal things all the time on the road and since they enforce the laws, no one can stop them. I feel your pain OP
I AM ABOVE THE LAAWW!! **re-gels hair**
