You didn't specify if it had to be a truthful article or not.... She could've written about Star Trek and you would still have to give her a good grade if it was written well...
No she wouldnlt have you are an idiot if you believe that.
ebolaaaaaaa this is am inside joke in my school hahah im 13 ???
Did you explain to the girl why she got that grade so she doesn't make the mistake again? And she may not have been smart enough to realize it was fake, but she did do the assignment. If it looks like some effort was put in, it's the required length, and was turned in on time, give her some points. There's probably a few students who half-assed it and got a better grade.
No effort was put in if she couldn't even try to find a factual article about ebola.

Excuse any multiples of this comment, the app is freezing and crashing.
Oh goody, THESE parents again.
How old is the child? Some children will believe anything they read, and I think giving her a zero was a little much. It's not like she did absolutely nothing.
Some adults do the same thing, but that doesn't mean we should coddle stupidity.
It kind of is related to science when you actually think about it.
The supernatural fandom had their moment on this thread. Ebola is believed to be an ancient virus, not something that just suddenly mutated into what it is now. Ancient it may be, but people didn't have significant contact with it until the 1970's. It's a virus that is believed to have lasted for hundreds of years, mutating between species. So, no, there is not a vaccine. Vaccines aren't as simple as gather some dead cells and hope that it works. And with something that has been lurking in the shadows as long as Ebola has, a vaccine won't just pop up and make everyone smile again. And I hate to burst your bubble. But this is not the first time Ebola has been in the United States. Last time it was here, it was in a monkey storage warehouse that bought them from Africa and distributed them for many different purposes. Ebola swept through the warehouse, killing off monkeys. At one point, the military and USAMRID went in, did tests and then killed the monkeys (summary). This was kept quiet for the exact same reason as what's happening right now! People are going into far to much panic! When it was at the monkey house, one of the scientists looked out and realized there was a children's playground VERY close to the monkey house. It was a threat then, but nobody outside of the building caught it. And they discovered that the strain going through the monkey house was Ebola ZAIRE! The three strains are Marburg, Ebola Sudan, and Ebola Zaire (three sisters). Marburg's death ratio is 1/4. Ebola Sudan's death ratio is 1/2. Ebola Zaire's death ratio is 9/10. You are almost guaranteed death with Ebola Zaire, and if you live, you won't ever be the same. And you know why it didn't cause panic when it was here last time? Because they knew common people couldn't handle it! So they kept it quiet. Y'all are just proving them right.
Whatever happened to the parent getting mad at the kid for their grades?

It's one thing to politely ask you to allow his daughter to redo the assigned work with a proper article, and it's another thing to "demand" a near-perfect score for nowhere near acceptable work...
It really amazes me how ignorant some people can be.
