Today, I returned home to find that my boyfriend's dog had gotten into the garbage and ripped all my used pads to shreds. There's a trail of Always tatters leading to his dog bed, and blood everywhere. My blood. Oh God. FML

same thing happen to me, but it was the neigbor's dog. he went thru the garbage that was in the curb waiting to be picked up. it was a nasty mess all over the street

Actually, without trying to gross you out, pads hold the liquid in a thin passage, and so if you ripped it open the blood would ooze out.

you shouldn't flush tampons, it's bad for the plumbing and the environment. What you need is a menstrual cup so you can just empty the blood into the toilet and flush away.
