Today, I sat to the right of a girl I really like. I passed her a note asking her to homecoming. She read it, then hurriedly passed it to a hideous girl sitting on her left, who said yes, then hugged me. FML

so its wrong to think a girl is unattractive? so do you say "yes" to every guy who asks you out, and you wouldn't dare call a guy ugly or unattractive? I hate this double standard where whiny fat girls say "ALL WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL HOW DARE YOU NOT SAY YES!!" but have no problem gossiping about the ugly guy that just tried to ask your friend out. sorry but this isn't a perfect world of flowers and butterflies and unicorns where every girl is a princess.

How old are you? My cousin was four when he passed a note to some girl he liked. And he put his name on it too. I'm going to be mean and say this: Grow a pair will you? A girl in high school does not want to be asked out like an elementary school student. Maybe the girl thought it was for the other girl. Beauty's in the eye of the beholder. To some people, Megan Fox is smoking hot. To others, she's an ugly Angelina Jolie wannabe. At least you have a date. Some people go alone. Besides, she might make a great friend cause she has a nice personality. You're not Mr. Universe, and you're not going to always get the hot girl. Get over it and have fun at the dance.

Does that mean he has to be happy that he's stuck with a date with someone who I'll assume is below his visual standards (and he doesn't know her, so her being nice is a crapshoot)? "You're not Mr. Universe, and you're not going to always get the hot girl" Yes, but now he doesn't have a choice as to who he goes with? What if he wanted to alone?

Alright though, really? I understand the girl should not have been called hideous and yes, it was a bit immature, but leave the kid alone. He's probably a shy person if he was asking her that way. And you don't know if the girl has a beautiful personality. You could have very well said: "I'm not trying to be mean but..." instead of: "I'm going to be mean and say this." By doing that, you are being just as rude as he was, calling that girl hideous. You aren't a guy. You don't know what it's like to be told to 'grow a pair'. Seriously? it seems like you are the one who needs to do some growing up. I'm sorry, that's just how I feel.

Alright, i'm going to be completely honest: no you probably shouldn't have called her 'hideous', but that also isn't the best situation you could've gotten into, and it is not your fault. I'm a teenage girl and I think that's awful, but I think you should still go to homecoming with her-just be sure to communicate to her that you two are just friends. After homecoming, you should let the girl you like know that it was her you were trying to ask (not in front of the other girl of course-as long as the girl you like will keep her mouth shut). I know this is long, and I apologize. I just figured you could use some practical and useful feedback. Calling him an 'asshole' or 'degrading' isn't going to change him. Just saying.
