Today, I saw a car swerving in front of me on the freeway, so I whipped out my cell to report the DUI. As soon as it started ringing, I see police lights in my rear view and got slapped with a ticket for using a cell phone while driving. After explaining why, the officer said, "Nice try." FML
I agree, your life sucks 29 779

why didn't you just show him the last number dialed on your phone? I'm sure that a cop would know the local police phone number

It probably wasn't a DUII driver...it was probably just a person using their cell phone, just like you. I see it all the time, especially with texters.

that's what you get for trying to be a narc. and if there was a cop literally right there and decided to pull u over instead of the swerving car well it must not have been noticeable to anyone but you. just mind your own ******* business

you have to use hands free system or carkit...otherwise ydi

Atleast you were trying to do some good. Maybe you should pull over next time you need to call In and report something.

I have a feeling that you just wanted to report that person because you are a mean ass not because you're concerned about public safety you woulda pulled over before using your phone if you were so karma is a bitch what goes around comes around :p really fast in your case though

I feel bad for you but yea the law is messed up and they think everyone lies or tries to get out of it cause alot of people do and I would fight this in court

everybody who said YDI are really really stupid or misinformed. there are signs everywhere on the ROAD to call 911 for drunk drivers. Not many people can memorize a plate number when your concentrating on driving. Since she is calling about a suspicious drunk driver, I'm pretty sure she's concentrating on the road in front of him/her. if that driver got into an accident and you didn't call earlier, then you are partly responsible or at least it's up to your guilty conscience.
