Today, I saw a photo on my mother-in-law's Facebook, proudly showing off the horrible job she'd done of painting her car. I sarcastically commented that I wouldn't inflict that on my worst enemy's ride. An hour later, she came by and emptied a bucket of paint over my windshield. FML

You should've known that was coming.

Why? I make sarcastic, and dickish, comments just about daily and I just get called a dick and that's it. Nobody vandalizes my stuff.

I call that vandalism. People get arrested for that shit.

Actually, mine are sweet, kind-hearted people, who, while not perfect, honestly do their best to get along and keep peace.

I was married for 20 years of my life and that was just a mental ill thing for your MIL to do and should be reported to the police. God know what else she will TRY to get away with. As for Facebook insult, ya kind if walked into being a child and I guess ya got spanked;-)

I wouldn't say op was being a child but it was stupid. Hopefully next time the op uses sarcasm over the Internet, he'll mention the sarcasm.

Some comments are better left unsaid. :P

Absolutely nothing the OP said should have warranted that kind of ridiculous and childish behavior. What else has she done to other people who've insulted her I wonder?

Don't poke the bear. The rule of "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" was written for your partner's family!

guess she wanted your ride to be as cool as her's.

It's almost impossible to apply sarcasm in text on the Internet to people who do not speak it fluently (if that makes sense?)
