Today, I saw my mom sneaking meat into her spaghetti sauce. She told me she sneaks meat into most of the food she cooks. I've been a vegetarian for 8 years. FML

or at least you thought you were a vegetarian...I mean you gotta admit your mom's food has been pretty great throughout these 8 years! lol

I'm no vegetarian, probably never will be, but I do respect everybody who is one. If they do not eat meat, that's their choice. More meat for me. They'll have to accept that I do eat meat. Maybe even right next to them. It sucks your mom is being so cruel to you. The least she could do is tell you so you can choose to eat it or make your own dinner.

a) That's hilarious. b) @ everyone that's saying the OP would notice the first hint of meat after being vegetarian for so long: you haven't really thought that through have you? Obviously she's been doing it the whole time, so that taste/smell will be the norm to them. c) That's HILARIOUS. d) It's also kinda mean, and disrespectful on the mother's part. My girlfriend of 2 years was vegetarian, and I changed the way I lived around that even though I disagreed with her choice. Despite my disagreement: it's her choice, not mine.

i eat vegetarian. I started getting sick when meat is in the food, as in vomiting a few times. So i stopped eating meat about 3 years ago. I still eat cheese and eggs. What you eat is your own choice.

Vegetarians are generally self righteous douchebags, and you have to realize that you can't demand that someone cooking you a free meal cater to your preferences. Just don't eat your mom's cooking, and quit whining.

i guess you never really were a vegetarian so much for saving our furry friends. all i hope is that your mom is nothing like my roommate and is actually sneaking dog meat. long story she's from china.

BTW, #57 total bullshit. Only the poorest of poor in China are forced to eat dog, they wouldn't have the money to go to school.

thats what you get for being a ****** ass vegitarian.

@50 There is no such thing as a distinctive 'vegetarian meal' (well, a certain taste associated with one anyway). I mean a fruit bowl is technically vegetarian, but it isn't representative of the taste of vegetarian dishes/meals/whatever as a whole. Whereas meat has a certain distinctive taste that non-vegetarians are pretty much used to until they haven't eaten it for a reasonably long period of time, when it becomes easy to spot. And some meat doesn't have a very strong taste anyhow, it'd be easy enough to disguise it in heavily spiced food for someone like the OP who's had it slipped into their meals constantly....
