The 38 at the end is kind of funny...I dont think it matters if you are 18 or 38, if you are married you are too old for that.

In a health standpoint the only thing better then sucking on the fingers after you pick your nose is washing your hands immediately. Assuming you brush your teeth regularly its cleaner and less chance of transmitting infections around to other people. Of course the best thing would be to get her to stop picking entirely. But after (most likely) 30 years of doing this? that will be a hard habit to break.

I'm not sure about the whole hygiene issue(I quit picking my nose when I was five), but I do know that any habit, regardless of how long you've had it, is able to be broken within twenty-one days.
