well maybe your text was so long and he didn't receive all of it? And I wouldn't just jump to calling him an asshole. maybe he was busy. I'm sorry not everyone can drop EVERYTHING they are doing to sit around and text all day. they have important things to do to.
It may not have been a text message. The OP never specified, so it could well have been a Facebook message, for example, sent to her boyfriend's inbox, in which case sending something longer is perfectly acceptable. A "long and heartfelt" text message is still only about 160 characters unless she split it over several messages -- and even then how long could it be?
