Today, I texted my crush that I can't come over and invited him over instead. I was so anxious for his reply I took my cell to the washroom with me. Just as I was pulling up my pants I heard something fall into the bowl, I turned around and watched my cell floating in the my own pee, vibrating. FML

I don't think you deserved it, I think you were anxious and I want to know if he came over too!

I usually keep my phone in my front pocket. So this most likely wouldn't happen to me. But yeah, it's kind of like the five second rule. You could pull it out and wipe it down to see if it still works. It's happened before.

That's really unfortunate. While I think some people are itching to ding you for your impatience, I don't know if you really deserve it. Most everyone has used his/her cell phone in the restroom at some point or another, but you were just the unlucky one.

Ouch did it break? I was once filling up the bath with water and it was about half ful, i started dancing and my cell fell out of my pocket and into the bath, hahaha but it didnt break or anything i just dried it off.... (Btw the pockets werent full pockets it was like these little pocket things)

that's happened to me enough times that now i refuse to have my phone anywhere on me when i go to the bathroom.

so put it in a ziplock baggie if you're gonna bring it in the bathroom. that does suck though. i do that too... you might as well. it's portable and it's not like they know you're peeing.

How does someone deserve this? Would she deserve it if she wasn't waiting for a text and her phone just happened to fall in the toilet? And for #15 and #17, cell phones do float (for while) and they can vibrate after a dunk in the toilet. Had the same thing happen to me, sans the pee and waiting for a text.

i work for a cell phone manufacturer - pretty annoying when people call up and get mad because they did this to themselves. lol. word of advice - set the device on the COUNTER, faaaar away from the sink or the toilet bowl. but in most cases, yes - you can take the device apart, let it air dry, and hopefully it will work again. however, you've definately voided the warranty.

all you have to do is when you first get your phone put a piece of tape over the part that shows that it gets wet. then if you drop it in, let it dry for 2 days.. then take it back (With the tape off of course. LOL MORONS)
