he's a CRUSH! ydi for going for broke and saying you LOVE him, no wonder he responded politely but nonetheless negatively. the better course of action would be to suggest going on a date, not laying your heart on the line. being told that someone LOVES you and you haven't even dated the person is very off putting, intimidating, pretty aggressive even! next time exercise a little more restraint.
