Come back home after with lots of badges and be like, "who's laughing now bitch?"
Go for it, I joined soon as I turned 18 and 8 years later I haven't looked back.
Follow your dreams, and don't worry about what your parents think. They might have raise you but it's your life and you should do whatever job you feel happy with
That blows man I hope you follow through with your decision and be safe
I feel like there's a reason for this. Like OP has no previous interests in this direction, or a history of impulsive decisions or maybe a health issue that would keep them out that they haven't considered. I really want to know the rest of this story.
Neither were they! ha
On another note, I think it is great you would want to join the military! Much respect to you:)
Don't worry, the same thing happened to me. There's great benefits to it, not to mention being apart of something way bigger than yourself. As long as you stay strong and remember why you're there you'll love it.
