They used the word invest properly. Shockingly, words have different meanings in different context. To invest in an item = to put money into an item (ie, purchasing, fixing, etc) that will ultimately benefit you in some way

You heard that right! Every Dutch person has at least 12 different pairs. We all live in a mill and our garden is full of tulips. We eat tons of cheese everyday, because we get all hungry from being stoned all the time. You should really consider to visit sometime!
