Today, I was bored so I got my little brother's toy spaceship and a teddy bear, went to my room and started flying them around, having dog fights, making explosion noises and humming epic orchestral music. My mom opened my bedroom door, showing our new hot female neighbour around the house. I'm 19. FML

7 - lots of 19 year olds still live at home. especially with today's economy, it's much cheaper to live at home while in college. now, if he's 19, living at home, and being a lazy bum then there's an issue. op - ydi for not finding something better to do. I find it very hard to believe that there was NOTHING else you could have been doing.

he never said he was 19. and don't feel too bad OP, it could have been much worse.

Read again, he did say he is 19z. dumbass囧

Don't worry about it, mate. I'm 16 and my friends and I have massive Dalek vs. Stormtrooper battles because we have Star Wars toys hanging around from our childhood and Doctor Who stuff from our current figure collections. Toys are not just for children. Toys are awesome. If she doesn't at very least find it a little charming, she's probably a little shallow.

Dalek vs. Stormtrooper battles? That is AMAZING.

but do you play those games when you're alone as well?

This reminds me of when I was in college and they served baked potatoes at dinner. After we ate, I'd take a couple of leftover potatoes and stage a Demolition Derby complete with automotive sound effects and running commentary, culminating with a massive head-on collision that sent potato chunks flying several tables away. It got lots of laughs and became a popular tradition at my dorm, but, for the record, it never got me laid.

if i was that hot female neighbour, i'd join in.

Growing up is overrated. Seriously. I was so concerned with being taken seriously in high school and middle school I never had as much fun as I could have and regret it. In college and young adulthood, it's a new ball game. I own several toys (especially RC cars), coloring books, a huge pack of crayons, sketchbooks to color in, childish games for my console... when you get to college, you take a step back and realize that your childhood lasts about 15 years. The rest of your life is three times that (and that's only counting if you live to sixty). Then you end up an adult and, frankly, you start wondering if you can turn in your membership card. I take care of my bills and my responsibilities, but I always have a few minutes a day for my RC car or coloring books. So maybe she was hot, OP, but if she can't find a little fun in what you were doing, she's probably just boring anyway.
